For this assignment, we were tasked in creating an edited video with royalty free videos, in comparison to still-images. Videos, in a way, were a bit harder to work with in the sense of having to correctly pick effects and transitions to tie each together, as well as time it to the audio appropriately. As for technique, it was reliability the same to piece the together the video, it simply needed more thought put in.
To make my video, I first chose a theme to run with. The first one I came up with was elevators. This worked out in my favor, as I found several videos of the same women riding an elevator. I downloaded each video and slapped them in Premiere. Once in the software, I added them to my timeline and ordered them in the way I'd like, then trimmed them down. It was once I had them ordered and trimmed, did I pick audio and effects to enhance the video. With the audio added in, I adjusted the pacing of each to fit, and finally added effects. The main effects were those of fades to weave in and out of clips. Overall, I would say that I don't mind the software. While it isn't hard to get the hang of in terms of how the software works, I would definitely say that it would get easier with practice and better knowledge of effects and such.
